Kitchen Witchcraft:

An Intro to Culinary Uses of Medicinal Herbs! Level 1

This is an introductory course in how to use medicinal herbs in your cooking and food. This course will have useful content for both folks who cook from scratch and folks who tend to eat packaged and pre-prepared foods. We will talk about medicinal and culinary uses of 10+ herbs in this level 1 course. We will touch on the spiritual beliefs/uses of some of these herbs as well. The goal of this class is for students to come away with a better understanding of different plants and their beneficial uses, and with ideas for how to practically incorporate the magick and medicine of the plants into their lives and food.

Mo Karnage has been studying herbalism since childhood, most recently in 1.5 years in the apprenticeship program at Owlcraft Healing Ways in Scottsville Va. Mo lives in Cuckoo, VA at Raven’s Feather Farm. Mo works in construction by day, and juggles family, writing haiku, caring for animals and plants, running, and practicing herbalism by night.

RVA Mag covered Haiku Battle!

A nice story in RVA mag about the return of Haiku Battles with Raven Dirtgod Mack to Richmond! Held at Electric Nomad Dance studio!!

I won this first Southern Gothic Futurism Haiku Battle in RVA and earned some much needed gas and grocery money for our family. Raven works hard to get sponsors so artists can be paid.

This is a vital community event. Also please pay artists and writers. I would love to write for money more often!!!

Electric Nomad Dance- New Studio at 123 E Main Street! Spring Signup!

Hey Yall

If you follow my social media you may have seen that I helped my friend Twila Jane a few weeks ago get started installing flooring at her new dance studio at 123 E. Main St.

I am so excited about their new space. I actually am going to have the opportunity to sell my herbal and craft products there in a mini punkothecary, and may even teach some classes. Other amazing people such as LeVar Carter, Owl Rare, and Laura Rettinger may teach Yoga and other classes in the space. And my friend Raven Mack aka Dirt God is going to try the space out as a venue for Haiku Battles in Richmond. This is such a collaboration of great people and has so much potential. Please support the space, as all of us artists an d crafters and teachers and healers have big hearts and smol smol budgets.  This is Twila’s space, please sign up for their classes and for other classes in the space. Richmond is what we make of it, and here is a chance to make something pretty great!!!

From my friend Twila on Facebook:

Twila Jane is at Electric Nomad Dance.

Hey ya’ll! Lots of folks have asked how they can support the new studio space, and this is one of the best: sign up for or share our classes! 💖💖💖 New sessions begin in just under two weeks, and these first few months will be super important for us to have a solid registration. If you and yours don’t want to dance, but support our work, please consider purchasing a session for someone who receives a scholarship from us! 🤓 💃💖 We are also offering a discount for college students as well, so bring your ID for a reduced class fee. Beginner classes are Tues, Wed, and Thurs 6:30-7:30, and an open level class at 7:30 pm on Thursdays. Next week we have off and I’m gonna be working on improving the space even more. See you there?? Please share! Registration is up at www.electricnomad.net/signup

Really glad I got to see Carol J. Adams speak yesterday at the Vegan72 event in Richmond. Venue was awkward/too crowded but to hear someone who’s work I have admired for so long (since college so at least 10+ years now) was awesome, and it was a great refresher. So thankful to the organizers and glad so many people made it out to the event.
